One day while listening to my crazy kids playing, my dad said “You know, you’re RAISIN’ NUTS!” This has always stuck in my brain as a pretty good example of our life.. raisin’ nuts. Our kids are each so unique and funny.  It’s never dull here... we have conversations in English, Chinese and Chinglish. Just the other day one of my sweet friends said our family was like the Walton’s on LSD. I loved that description. Okay, so we don’t do drugs, but we are kinda crazy. For example, Sarah Jane told Will that he was going to the doctor and if he didn’t pass the tests they would cut him open! She recanted her story but I got her back the next morning by telling her she had a dentist appointment and they were pulling her front teeth. Not exactly something you’d hear John Boy tell Mary Ellen but that’s the point. ::sigh::

Josh is quick-witted like his dad. Sarah Jane can laugh at herself and find humor in most things. MacKenzie... well, she needs her own TV show. Jack has a dry sense of humor but is slowing learning that sarcasm (the rule at our house) isn’t serious! Annabelle is the John Ritter of our house - crazy poses, crazy faces. Emma Grace never misses a beat just like her daddy. Will Pin-Ching has been here since the end of July and he fits right in -- he screams like a girl (like Jack), is scared of bugs and frogs (like Jack), loves the computer and YouTube (like Sarah Jane) and is as sweet as can be (like Annabelle!) (and pictured above: Emily, our friend who lived with us for a while - she’s with her mom now!) We have to get an updated photo with Will in it as soon as it warms up!
